Based between Copenhagen and Berlin, Joëlle is a sound designer and composer working across music, performance and fine arts. A sound design graduate of the Danish National School of Performing Arts specialising in multichannel speaker systems, Joëlle employs acoustic space and psychoacoustics as an additional compositional device to activate architecture, envelopment and deep listening; inhabiting borders between memory and presence, movement and stasis, inheritance and creation. By leveraging multichannel dramaturgy and its biological resonance as a vehicle for space-time exploration, Joëlle seeks to convene a public dream space for divergent histories and shared presence.

As a theatre composer, Joëlle seeks to weave a time tapestry in counterpoint with stage parameters and broader dramaturgy.

As a performer, they are interested in absurdity, theater drag, and kinetic response.

As a musician and sound artist, they are currently researching envelopment through multichannel recording and playback of processed electric guitar, developing an extended, multi-effect instrument designed for live performance and big time LFE.

 Beyond their artistic practice, Joëlle works as a sound consultant and engineer, designs installations, and teaches and facilitates workshops on multichannel strategies.
